    +Tochi Obudulu it's some form of Crackberry 10 variant – heavily modified, with encryption on the SD chip happening. supposedly the UI/UIX of the modified OS is so bad (the word that's being used is unzumutbar which translates roughly to "can't be seriously asked for/expected to") that Merkel hated using the (more secure) government issued phone, and used mainly her (less secure, by using a standard consumer/commercial carrier) political party supplied phone.

    +Max Huijgen current Government – by the state department of IT security – issued phones are Blackberry 10 based, modified with Secusuite Software/OS-Mods, and a Galaxy S3 based phone modified with SIMCO3 software/OS-Mods. Currently Merkel is supposedly using a modified Blackberry Z10. Back then Merkel used occasionally/for a time being a Nokia 6210 Navigator, modified with SecuVoice – but there were complaints filed that supposedly the modified Nokia 6210 was unable to encrypt voice and emails (sic!). It's currently not known, which phone was used, NSA spied on, only that it supposedly was a by her political party issued phone.
